about

- equilibrium
[ee-kwuh-lib-ree-uh-m]
equal balance between any powers, influences, etc.; equality of effect
a state of rest or balance due to the equal action of opposing forces

Writing Equilibrium was easy as the sea breeze. Why? My answer is experience is one hell of a mental 'drug'. I can sit here and tell you how this album is "honest" and this and that. Ultimately, this is my BOLDEST album yet. It's dark. It's deep, it's real and it tells a story. Most of all, its DIFFERENT. I wanted to celebrate the new and old Rico Jordan. This album to be is a classic because, its frozen in time. As you listen to the album it gets interesting, you often wonder, "who is he talking about?" See that's the thing, I wanted to be fearless, I wanted to be real with myself. The shit always starts from within.
This album represents the struggles of loving someone. The good, the bad, the worst, but it ends with me eventually going back to this girl. I wanted to go back to my roots with this album and not only that I wanted to celebrate the the growth that I've experienced throughout my musical journey. I wanted to combine these different entities into one. Which is how I got the title 'Equilibrium'
This album is very musical to me. I wanted to make music that told my story. I know this might cause a lot of controversy but, it's what we all go through, love...
I was always honest with all my albums, but there's a difference between being honest and being bold. I feel like, I found my state of rest when I found that this album represented my emotions. It was almost like therapy for me. If emotions could speak, they would sound like this.
